Stone Harbor New Jersey
is an ideal summer resort town that welcomes thousands of visitors each year. This town, whose motto is “The Seashore at Its Best,” offers a full calendar of special events throughout the summer and fall season, in addition to its many recreational activities, shopping and fine dining. Everything from holiday celebrations to antique shows and old-fashioned sidewalk sales are part of the fun. Some of these events are listed below by month:

Sail Into Summer Weekend: Boat Show and Seafood Festival
May 30 Fifth Annual Turtle Trot – 5K Run and 2-Mile Fun Walk for all ages

Holiday Reenactments - Holiday Characters roam the streets of Stone Harbor spreading holiday cheer.
In addition to these special events, the town of Avalon on Seven-Mile Island also has many fun-filled events throughout the year. Included in these are the Town Wide Yard Sale in May and Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. The Avalon Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Craft Fair in June, a Street Fair in September and a Seafood Festival in October. The Avalon Wings & Water Festival is held in September and a special children’s Halloween Party is held in October. The local Chambers of Commerce in both Stone Harbor and Avalon can provide brochures with special dates and times for these and other special events.
